As a community-driven magazine, Arrows & Icons is fueled by contributions from our readers and supporters. Whether a seasoned designer or a student learning more about the field, we encourage anyone and everyone to get involved in the community and share their interests and knowledge.

Write For Us

We’re always on the lookout for knowledgeable folks to share quality content with our readers. We encourage both guest posts and regular writers; the more voices we have, the more value we can provide to the design community. We cover a range of topics as they relate to the following disciplines:

• Environmental graphic design (in various forms)

• Information design
• Experience design / UX
• Usability

• Identity design & branding

Writing Guidelines

We encourage original articles and discussions, but we’d be happy to republish a previous piece and attribute its original publisher.

• Contributed articles belong to you — they may be republished, but we ask that you note that they were originally published on A&I.
• We ask that articles be non-promotional.
• Contributed articles are currently unpaid. We hope to be able to change that in the future.

Each author will be offered a short bio area at the bottom of each post, and regular contributors will be listed on the Authors page with a link to a full author profile page. Daily Inspiration

We’re in the process of building a daily inspiration tumblelog, a visual archive of environmental design-related images and ideas. If you’d like to submit your work or found images, videos, links or quotes of any kind, please send them to daily (at) arrowsandicons.com and we’ll be sure to feature them once that section of the magazine is finished.
