Arrows & Icons is a community-powered, digital magazine for environmental graphic design and related disciplines. It serves as a resources for designers of any experience level, and an open forum for discussion and discourse about the latest topics and trends.

While the focus will be on environmental graphic design, signage & wayfinding and information design, we’ll also touch on topics such as typography, branding & logo design, usability, strategy, business, education and sustainability as they relate to the environmental design field.

Structure

Arrows & Icons is published monthly, with each issue consisting of 3–5 articles. Issues will usually have a theme or topic that the feature editorial and supporting articles will address. Articles are written by a variety of authors, contributors and collaborators within the design community.

Discussion via article comments is highly encouraged, however we ask that you keep it considerate and clean — anything rude or indecent directed towards someone else will be promptly deleted.

Aside from the articles, the magazine will also feature classifieds, job postings, industry news from around the web, a daily inspiration gallery and event calendar. Advertising opportunities are also available, however they will be limited so as not to distract from the content.
